Asetemachbjt D was the daughter of the High Priest of Amun and ("King") Mencheperre, son of HPA and
King Chacheperre Paynedjem I who she outlived, seemingly by at least 13 years, and died as an old
woman. Her mummy has not been unwrapped, but x-ray examination have shown that she had arthritic
knees and bad teeth. Two sets of coffins were made for her. The first was used for the burial of
Paynedjem's other wife, Nesychonsw. Asetemachbjt's original burial appears, from the type of damage it
suffered, not to have been in the Royal Cache TT320.

We know that everyone likes Anubis (jnpw), so we have
made some decorative images for you to use as you like.
Above is an example of how original colours are reconstructed. The unedited image at upper left was
searched for unchanged pixels beneath the surface layer at a magnification of 1600x. Cleanest individual
pixels are then copied into a group and mixed to establish a mean value within the range of known values
of the specific colour. Intensity, transparency and saturation cannot be precisely determined due to the
chemical mutations caused by normal aging. However, we feel that a reconstruction which is 80% correct is
better than an image which is 100% wrong. The point here is to show that the painting of this period was
bright and vibrant. This section will be enlarged soon.
