Here are the first detailed photos. Those of the top are probably the first to be made in modern times. The conditions
for photographing were very bad: always through glass with reflections etc. Only a small portion of the top
at the foot end of the tent could be uncovered. Its condition is terrible: filth, dead insects etc and the photos were
made through old, uneven plexiglass.
It appears certain that the entire tent was made at one time in the same workshop. The leather and basic color match
exactly. The cutting was not all done by the same hand; probably the layout was done by a master outline
draughtsman and the cutting by less qualified people, as was the case in decorating coffins during this period. Due
to abuse and faulty "conservation" interpretation of some details is difficult. This is the first provisional edit of the
images, most of which were made by Sergej Ivanov (SVI0107).
Facit: the tent was made for Asetemsakhbjt, daughter of HPA Masaharta, during the period between his death and
that of his father, King Pinodjem Khakheperre.
